Homework Week 22 Feb 3rd to Feb 7th

• Thank you for your help on the Whale Watch and Cabrillo Beach Tide Pools trip.

• The weekly spelling test now includes vocabulary words too. They are listed on the Home School Connection sheet.

• 2/7 Guatemalan Celebration - We need parent volunteers. Thank you!

• 2/10 Guatemalan report due - Fables are stories that teach a lesson. Fable characters are usually animals. Choose a native Guatemalan animal, such as jaguar, spider monkey, puma, etc, as your main character and write your own fable. Use your adjectives to describe the characters and settings.

• 2/14 Valentine's Day -  Students will bring home a decorated shoebox size "mailbox"
 for their Valentine "mail".  Please start making Valentine cards for each of their classmates. Please bring the Valentine "mailbox" and Valentine cards (in a separate bag) on Friday Feb. 14th. 

• We need volunteer to help in the mornings with LAUSD's "Breakfast in the Classroom" starting next week. If you can help student helpers to roll out the food before school, please let your teacher know.

• Also, we need some handy parents to make wooden frames, cut burlap and stretch the burlap for our stitchery project. If you have those skills, please let us know,
