Week 19 (1/18/2016 - 1/22/2016)

General Information and Key Dates:

• Middle of the Year DIBELS testing starting January 11-29th
• 1/18 - Dr. King holiday: NO SCHOOL
• 1/29 - Chinese Celebration
• 2/1 - 5th Young Author Chinese Report Due (CLICK HERE to see the Young Author's Report Schedule).  Read a book about China or an aspect of Chinese culture (the Great Wall, pandas, inventions, etc.).  Write a report about what you have learned and/or visit the Chinese-American Museum and Chinatown (www.camla.org).  Write about your experience. 
• 2/19 - Whale Watching/Tide Pool field trip.  We will be looking for volunteers to meet us at the tide pools in Cabrillo beach.  Please look out for field trips and donation requests.

There is a spelling and reading test this week on Friday, 1/22/2016.  There will also be a math quiz on Friday.
