Homework Week 4 - 9/3 to 9/6


  • Thank you to all the parents who attended Back-to-School night!
  • JOIN THE PTA! THE PTA DOES SO MUCH FOR OUR STUDENTS. PLEASE JOIN FOR ONLY $5 PER MEMBER. WE NEED 100% MEMBERSHIP FOR OUR CLASS.
  • Our new reading unit is "Family and Friends". Bring a picture of family or friends for our bulletin board. You can cut it out from a magazine too.
  • Thank you for turning in all pares, trip slips, forms, t-shirts, flash drives, $7 donation for the LA County Fair bus and supplies. If you haven't turned them in, please do ASAP.
  • Donor's Choose is a Web site dedicated to helping teachers get needed equipment, materials and trips. Please sign the permission sheet so that we can get materials for our classes. Thank you.
  • Hawaiian celebration is on September 13th. We need volunteers 8:11 PM to 12 PM. Please sign up!
  • Reminder: Hawaii report is due in September 16th. [Write your own travel brochure encouraging people to come to Hawaii. What will they do? What will they see? why should they visit Hawaii?] Start early to avoid the minute panic!
  • Pancake Breakfast will be on Saturday, September 28th.
  • September 20th - LA County Fair Trip
  • We will spend two weeks on reading "Mr. Putter & Tabby Pour the Tea"
  • Spelling test and reading comprehension test will be next Thursday, September 12th.

READ AT LEAST 30 MINS.
Read: "A Visit to the Dentist" pg. 15 and work on reading comprehension questions on pg. 17
